HOW TO READ YOUR CASE STATUS

Status

The "Status" field indicates the determination of SV made by the DIS/NIH on your NOS waiver application. The following statuses may appear on your case:
o "Pending" - This means that your case is pending a determination by the DIS.
o "Favorable Sponsor Views" - This means that you have met all NIH requirements and the DIS has provided a Favorable Sponsor View to the DOS on your NOS waiver application. In other words, the NIH has no objections to a NOS waiver being granted to you.
o "Unfavorable Sponsor Views" - This means that you have NOT met all NIH requirements and the DIS has provided an Unfavorable Sponsor View to the DOS on your NOS waiver application. In other words, the NIH objects to a NOS waiver being granted to you.
o "Withdrawn by Exchange Visitor" - This means that you have withdrawn your NOS waiver application. No Sponsor Views will be issued by the DIS/NIH.

Item

The "Item" fields describe the documents necessary for the DIS/NIH to determine our SV. Please note that ALL required items must be received BEFORE the DIS will review your case and issue our SV to the DOS. Please allow sufficient time for review of your case [up to thirty (30) days from the date that ALL items are received].

Action

The "Action" field indicates whether or not an item has been received by the DIS, requested by the DIS, or sent by the DIS.

Date

The "Date" fields indicate when the action occurred for each item.
